Breakfast Club

Hello everyone we just wanted to quickly intro Breakfast Club our new initiative. Taking place once a month, Breakfast Club will be an opportunity to get updates, insights, share thoughts and receive news with members and colleagues in a quick and informal format. We are pleased to announce that Dr Catrin Morgan will be joining us for our first session on Wednesday the 11th of February at 08:30 GMT. Catrin will be introducing us to the theme for this year illustration research conference, and offering insights into the proposal and call for papers ‘process’. This should be of interest to any colleagues thinking of participating. We will also be joined later in the year by Rachel Hill, CEO of the Association of Illustrators. Rachel leads the oldest and best established advocacy organisation for practicing Illustrators and will be able to offer up to date news on everything from copyright to AI. We are also excited to announce that Olivia Ahmad, Artistic Director at the Quentin Blake Centre of Illustration, will join us for Breakfast in September to update on progress with QBCI. 

Breakfast Club is semi-informal and offered as a place to get updates, share information and hear from key individuals in the world of illustration education. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible! If you have thoughts about colleagues that you would like to hear from at Breakfast Club please let us know and we’ll reach out and invite them along.
