I am an educator, researcher and illustrator and currently the Illustration Programme Director at Camberwell Chelsea and Wimbledon college (CCW), UAL. My research is transdisciplinary, using methods that draw on the intersection of illustration, design, sociology of education and immersive/virtual technologies with a focus on disciplinary ‘disobedience’ to enable transformative educational experiences.

I am an illustrator, educator, researcher and currently Associate Professor and Head of the School of Design at Kingston University. I am interested in illustration disciplinary research methodologies and their potential for inter- and trans- disciplinary application, which culminated in the text Illustration Research Methods (2021, Bloomsbury Academic) which I co-authored with Dr Mireille Fauchon.

Matilda Agace is a policy advisor and strategist working across the creative, climate and place sectors, currently Head of Net Zero and Social Purpose programme at UAL, and previous to this she was Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager at the Design Council.

Olivia Ahmad is a curator, editor, and writer and Artistic Director at the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration.

Catherine Anyango Grünewald is a Swedish/Kenyan artist and Senior Lecturer in Illustration at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm.

Philip Kennedy is an educator, writer, and illustrator based in Dublin, Philip has worked at the National College of Art & Design since 2017 and currently leads their BA Illustration programme.

Dr Catrin Morgan is Assistant Professor in Illustration at Parsons School of Design, she is an illustrator, artist, and designer whose practice explores mathematical, architectural, and theoretical systems.

Kunyalala Ndlovu is a London-based artist, producer, consultant, and educator, Kunyalala is the founder of The Woodshed, a creative practice known for crafting compelling narratives for global brands and cultural institutions.

Members are selected for the advisory board annually through an open call. 

I am course leader for MA Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts and I am currently working with ceramic processes, film and photography to illustrate environmental stories of meaningful water, raw materials and their journey through time, earth and industrial strata. I have previously taught on courses at Kingston University, Norwich University of the Arts, London Metropolitan University, University of the Creative Arts and the Royal College of Art.

Peter Nencini is a designer and educator and currently Senior Tutor on MA Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art. He has worked across print and television for clients such as the New York Times and the BBC. More recently, he has gravitated towards editioned and exhibited work in ceramic, fabric, wood and metal, with an interest in the space between typographic and figurative form. 

I am a writer, illustrator, and educator. I am the Course Leader for BA Hons Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London, UK, and author of Illustration and Heritage (Bloomsbury Visual Arts, 2024). In my practice, I make illustrative works that involve mis- or under-represented people from history, with a particular interest in how the past can be reconstructed.

I am a Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Illustration course at Leeds Arts University. My research interests engage with feminist and queer histories and self-publishing practices. Katie produces illustration works, publications and visual essays as part of commissions, residencies and exhibitions. I have spoken at international symposia, my research has been published in Turn the Page: Collected Essays 2018, Orlando journal and the Journal of Illustration. I have previously taught on courses at Norwich University of the Arts and Falmouth University.

I am an illustrator who likes to talk and write about illustration. Currently I am working as the professor of Illustration and visual storytelling at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Sweden. Apart from working as an illustrator in different medias for more than 20 years, I have written extensively about Swedish Illustration History as the co-editor and initiator of the anthology Svensk illustration 1900–2000 (“Swedish Illustration 1900–2000”, Arena Förlag, 2012). Right now, I am mainly interested in the future of illustration and illustrators.
